MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) today reported that its net retail sales for the four weeks ended Jan. 29, 2000 increased 11.4 percent to $2.052 billion from $1.843 billion a year ago. Comparable-store sales increased 5.7 percent from the same period a year ago. Total company sales were $32.931 billion for the fiscal year.
"Sales for the corporation were above plan in January," said Bob Ulrich, chairman and chief executive officer of Target Corporation.
