MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Dayton Hudson Corporation (NYSE: DH)
today reported that its net retail sales for the four weeks ended Nov. 28,
1998 increased 8.0 percent to $2.706 billion from $2.506 billion a year ago.
Comparable-store sales increased 3.0 percent from the same period a year ago.
Total company sales were $22.818 billion year to date.
"Sales in November were on plan at Target, slightly below expectations at
Mervyn's, and below plan at the Department Stores," said Bob Ulrich, chairman
and chief executive officer of Dayton Hudson Corporation. "Sales for the
Thanksgiving weekend tracked our November divisional results."
